Course Information

The e-learning course Facilitating Career Development offered by Kuder Educational Training Associates (Kuder ETA) is led by NCDA-approved instructors and features the most up-to-date career planning resources.

The CDF course incorporates a multimodal approach featuring online and face-to-face instruction, individual learning by textbook and DVD, and class interaction through a course web site powered by MindFlash.

Each student will receive individual attention from a highly qualified NCDA-approved e-instructor while class community is developed through online interaction as well as at the face-to-face session. Class sizes are small, ranging between 10 and 20 students.

Curriculum Components

  • Multimodal delivery including online and face-to-face instruction allowing reduced classroom time and learning from any location.
  • Textbook titled Facilitating Career Development by Dr. JoAnn Harris-Bowlsbey, Dr. David Reile, and Dr. Barbara Suddarth that addresses the 12 required competencies
  • A DVD that contains complete instructional material for eight modules and partial content for the remaining two modules
  • Extensive video resources and uplinks to useful and current Internet sites
  • An NCDA-approved e-instructor who will stay in contact with each course participant through e-mail, online discussion, and phone contact and will provide feedback for all written assignments
  • Face-to-face training by an NCDA-approved instructor on two modules

Each chapter in the textbook includes learning objectives, text material, learning activities, homework, and references. The DVD includes chapter reviews, additional learning activities, and check-ups of learning.
