Judith Ettinger, Ph.D., shares more than 30 years of experience in the field of career development. A Career Development Facilitator (CDF) Master Trainer and CDF Instructor, she has traveled throughout the world to provide career development technical assistance and training. Her areas of expertise include Career Development, Developmental Guidance Programs, Career Assessment, the Career Development Facilitator Program (CDF), and the Offender Workforce Development Specialist Program (OWDS).
Dr. Ettinger is the Senior Outreach Specialist for the Center on Education and Work at The University of Wisconsin-Madison and chairs the Publications Development committee of the National Career Development Association (NCDA). She has received numerous awards and recognition for her work, including the Distinguished Achievement Award, School of Education, University of Wisconsin-Madison; Outstanding Practitioner Award, National Career Development Association; and the National Customer Service Award from the U.S. Department of Labor.

JoAnn Harris-Bowlsbey, Ed.D., is a leader in the creation of career development training and education materials. During her career, Dr. Harris-Bowlsbey has promoted career development and education in a number of capacities: as a high school counselor, director of guidance, university professor, career counselor in a university counseling center, trainer, author, and developer of computer-based systems and career planning curricula.
She wrote the curriculum for training Career Development Advisors for Japan; she led the redevelopment and expansion of the curriculum for training Career Development Facilitators (CDFs) in the United States, called Facilitating Career Development, published by the National Career Development Association; she led the redevelopment and expansion of the curriculum for training Offender Workforce Development Specialists for the National Institute of Corrections; and she has developed national and international versions of the CDF curriculum for NCDA. She has also written a number of print-based career planning curricula for use with middle school, high school, college students, and adults, including those currently published by National Career Assessment Services, Inc. (NCASI): Take Hold of Your Future and Develop Your Future I and II with coauthor Nancy S. Perry.
Among other professional affiliations and awards, JoAnn is a past-president of the National Career Development Association (NCDA) and a recipient of its Eminent Career Award.

Ernest F. Biller, PhD, is a CDF Instructor and Associate Professor of Education and Career Development at the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho.
Dr. Biller has been conducting CDF trainings in Idaho since 1994. In addition to his work training personnel to become certified career development facilitators, he trains pre-service teachers and counselors on how to provide career guidance and counseling services at secondary and postsecondary levels. Prior to becoming a university professor and career development facilitator, he worked for twelve years in the Retail Food Industry and another two years marketing business and computer information systems for a national corporation.
While Ernie has in-depth knowledge on all aspects of career development, his special expertise is in the area of career assessment for special populations. His approach to career assessment includes both formal and informal techniques which are designed to meet the needs of different populations and cultures.
Ernie’s experience as a high school career counselor and over ten years work experience in business and industry makes him particularly qualified to work with private agency personnel as well as school-based personnel.

Debra J. Carr, MA, LPC, MCC, has over 20 years’ career management experience in academic, government and private industry settings. She has taught the Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) training since 1999 and is a GCDF Master Trainer. She specializes in adult career development and transitions and is lead consultant for workforce transition efforts during the closure of the Department of Energy’s Rocky Flats Environmental Technology Site. Other clients have included Sun Microsystems, StorageTek, Qwest, Lucent Technologies, The Children’s Hospital, Hunter Douglas, Community College of Denver, University of Colorado, Colorado Department of Labor & Employment and several workforce development centers. She was the Associate Director for Career Services at Metropolitan State College of Denver for three years and is skilled in the use of career assessments, including the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, (MBTI), the FIRO-B, and the Strong Interest Inventory. She is a Master Career Counselor (MCC), and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
Deb has an extensive business background, having managed program evaluations for the U.S. Congress for over thirteen years. She managed a corporate training and employee development program where she was involved in mentoring new staff and monitoring individual development plans to meet organizational core competencies. She was a recruiter at local universities for over twelve years. Her entry into federal service began with her Peace Corps involvement as a tuberculosis control clinician in the Republic of South Korea, where she provided health and education services to rural communities.
Deb is committed to the value of lifelong learning and is active in career development professional organizations. She was on the Executive Board for the National Career Development Association for two years and is now Chair of the NCDA Mentoring Committee.

Kelly Curry holds a BA in Communication from Boise State University. She is a Master Trainer of the NCDA Career Development Facilitator Instructor program with 10 years of experience working in various programs within a state workforce agency. Kelly is currently a Workforce Development Program Specialist for Idaho Commerce and Labor and her primary responsibility is to manage and train the GCDF program for One-Stop Commerce and Labor staff in the twenty-four offices statewide. Idaho Commerce and Labor has been one of the leaders in the movement of training GCDFs since the inception of the program. Kelly has trained and certified more than 200 staff members within the department to be Global Career Development Facilitators.
Kelly has been a presenter at numerous state and regional conferences on various workforce development topics and she serves as an advisor at the state and local level Idaho Career Information System and professional and technical education programs.

Mark Danaher, MA, GCDFI, is a CDF Instructor and Career Counselor/Educator for Manchester High School in Manchester, Connecticut.
Mark holds two Masters Degrees in Educational Psychology and Educations Technology from University of Connecticut and Eastern Connecticut State University. For the last nine years, he has been working at Manchester High School (MHS) in the Career Services office. Mark has shared his expertise with schools within the state as they look to start or improve the career centers within their schools or districts. Mark has received numerous awards for the services that he provides to the students, faculty, and parents of Manchester. He was recognized as Manchester High School Teacher of the Year in 2006-2007 and as Manchester District Teacher of the Year 2006-2007 for his efforts in teaching and counseling students about career. Mark went on to become a Finalist for Connecticut Teacher of the Year for his career work.
Mark is an accomplished presenter; he has presented at the local, state and national levels on career related topics. He has been teaching Global Career Development Facilitator courses and enjoys sharing his knowledge and experience with his students. Mark is sought out by many schools and schools districts across Connecticut and beyond to provide training and workshops on many of the following topics: Thinking Out of the Box: Career Integration, Digital Career Portfolios, Interest Inventories, Marketing Your Career Center Services, Taking Career Services to the Next Level and MBTI, It’s More Than Just Four Letters. Mark’s passion is to see Career Development spread throughout the life spans for the benefits it provides for career preparation and success.

Experienced in K-12, higher education, and adult career development, Dr. Ray Davis brings a wealth of knowledge to the Global Career Development Facilitator courses of Kuder ETA. Ray has been the professor of record for over 500 Global Career Development Facilitator certification completers in the State of South Carolina, a state with currently the highest number of certified Global Career Development Facilitators. He currently coordinates K-12 Career Guidance, in the Office of Career and Technology Education, in the South Carolina Department of Education where he has worked since 2000.
Ray received his Bachelor of Science degree from Clemson University and his M.Ed. and Ph.D. from the University of South Carolina (USC). He worked from 1985-2000 at the University Career Center at USC as assistant director and program manager. Ray currently serves on the National Career Development Facilitator Advisory Board and served on the National Career Development Guidelines Rewriting Committee with the US Department of Education. He has served as chair of Commission VI for Career Development for the American College Personnel Association (ACPA) and chaired the Liberal Arts Task Force for ACPA. Currently, Ray chairs the Professional Development Committee for the National Career Development Association. He directed the writing of the standards-based South Carolina Career Guidance Model for grades K-12, and is a member of ACRNA and the Association for Computer-Based Systems of Career Information. He also served on the States’ Career Cluster Initiative contributing to the establishment of the national Business, Management, and Administration career cluster.
Ray is the owner of a private practice in career counseling located in Irmo, SC. He is an avid outdoorsman and a South Carolina Master Gardener.

Judith Hoppin, M.A., NCC, LPC, NCDA Fellow, has been a career professional for over twenty years. She has written or co-written many career focused training manuals and training curricula, including the first Career Development Facilitator Curriculum, Workforce in Transition, The Life/Work Portfolio, and Opening Doors: A Practical Guide to Job Hunting. Judith is a CDF Master Trainer and a Certified CDF eLearning Instructor.
She has designed and delivered career development programs and career consulting to corporations, businesses and non-profit organizations. Currently Treasurer of the National Career Development Association, she has held numerous leadership positions in national, state and local associations.

Rob Seemann, MSW, CDFI,a Career Development Facilitator (CDF) Master Trainer, has worked in career development for the last ten years as an instructor, counselor, workshop presenter, curriculum writer, and online course peer reviewer. Rob was instrumental in bringing CDF training to Clackamas Community College (near Portland, Oregon), where it has become the standard for the college’s departments of Advising and Counseling, Workforce Development, and Career and Employer Resource Center.
Currently, Rob designs and teaches hybrid and online courses for job search skills, career exploration, and career advancement at the college. He also consults on online course design, curriculum writing, and career development through his company, Lifelong Learning LLC.
Rob’s passion for teaching the CDF training is evident in the classroom, where he gives students ample hands-on opportunities to practice new skills, expand their comfort zones, and teach and learn from each other. He is guided by the principles that learning be active, personally meaningful for students, relevant to their careers—and fun, too!
Rob has written about his passion for CDF training in two articles published recently in
Career Developments Magazine: “Why I love my CDF” (Spring ‘08) and “Living Professional Development” (Fall ‘08). He currently serves as the NCDA CDF Advisory Council Chair.

Linda Sellner, MEd, has been a counselor for twenty-five years and has worked in the career development field for over fifteen years. In addition, she has been teaching the Global Career Development Facilitator curriculum for 9 years. Presently Linda is employed by a private high school as a Career Counselor and is an instructor for both the University of New Hampshire and Plymouth State University Graduate Counseling program. Linda also provides workshops on curriculum development for career exploration and planning.

Kaye K. Shaw, Ph.D., has been working in the area of career development for 15 of her 32 years in education. She has taught a number of Career Development Facilitator’s classes for educators in the Midlands of South Carolina and has worked as an online CDF instructor since September 2007. Dr. Shaw has 10 years' experience in teaching high school students and adult learners. She has completed research in the areas of School-to-Work, worksite mentoring and teacher quality. She currently serves on two statewide committees in South Carolina that are guiding the implementation of the 2005 Education and Economic Development Act - Curriculum Framework and Guidance and Marketing and Communications.
Kaye is in her first year as the coordinator for the Midlands Regional Education Center, one of twelve regional sites established under the Education and Economic Development Act of 2005. The primary responsibilities of the regional centers are to provide a platform for collaboration and sharing of ideas and information by decision makers who have the resources and ability to implement ideas and create meaningful change in the areas of career planning, employment seeking, professional development for educators, and building partnership between the education and business communities. She continues to provide direction and oversight as executive director of Midlands Education and Business Alliance, a non-profit organization that has served the Midlands of South Carolina for the past 14 years in education and workforce development.
Kaye earned a Ph.D., master of education administration, master of arts in teaching and a bachelor of science degree in business education from the University of South Carolina. She is a member of Rotary International, serves on the Council for the United Way of the Midlands and numerous local committees and boards. Her education philosophy is that every individual can learn and that it is the job of educators to figure out “how every individual is smart.”

Ellen Weaver Paquette, MA, CAGS, has, for the past 25 years, produced and delivered instructional career development programs which inform, enlighten, educate, and challenge practitioners on all levels.
She has been a teacher and mentor to over 1500 graduate students in counseling programs as the sole instructor of a required career counseling course. She has also served as teacher and mentor to over 800 public school teachers, counselors, and administrators in college access and portfolio development workshops for credit.
She has published articles in areas of practical education in academic journals, written reaction articles for the Chicago Tribune, and written ads for national training programs.
An often sought presenter, Ellen has engaged audiences at national and regional conferences, state workshops and served as a panel discussant.
In addition to serving as principal for Career Consulting Concepts, Ellen continues to teach career counseling on a part-time basis for the Department of Counseling in the Graduate School of Education at Rhode Island College in Providence, RI.
